That's not the problem here.  Instead, the issue is people are grounding
their recommendations for Emacs on what is at best circumstantial
evidence for the existence of large quanitities of Emacs users
satisfying a litany of very specific criteria, which I recounted earlier
in this godforsaken thread...

Aside from my own, obviously prolific, imagination, I've been around for a while on this and other forums (Emacs-related and otherwise), and saw what people say.

Alas, I didn't keep a logbook with easy-to-produce URLs to particular exchanges. But a web search could help.
