With your previous patch:
(ruler-mode-left-scroll-bar-cols t) => 1.4545454545454546
which is (/ 16 11). What I was trying to say is that I'd like it to
be 2.

For me, it doesn't apply cleanly against rev 1.16. Maybe you can just
send the entire file instead of the diff; it's not that long.
