I pulled the latest sources from CVS and build on 2004-02-03, so it's
not exactly a current build. I had been seeing this function cause
crashes a lot when I first built Emacs. After a few crashes I started
making sure that I always run Emacs inside GDB. That seemed to fix
the problem - until now.
If you can find a reliable way to make this crash, that would
be extremely useful. This could be a bug in memory handling,
and they are often hard to find. A reliable case would give us
a chance to find this one.
Meanwhile, if you could study the code
and figure out which slot in which stack frame
was being marked here, and why marking this data led to a crash,
that would be quite useful.
