Since I updated from CVS on February 23, Emacs has crashed several times while I was scrolling (both with the mouse wheel and with the down arrow). The last two times I caught with the debugger. The first backtrace looks bad but not very helpful to me:
...
Program received signal SIGABRT, Aborted. 0x4064db71 in kill () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6 (gdb) backtrace #0 0x4064db71 in kill () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6 #1 0x0811c0a6 in abort () at emacs.c:424 #2 0x080f7f16 in handle_one_xevent (dpyinfo=0x289b, eventp=0xbfffacf0,bufp_r=0xbfffaf24, numcharsp=0xbfffaf28, finish=0x83ca258) at xterm.c:6595 #3 0x080f6b14 in event_handler_gdk (gxev=0xbfffacf0, ev=0x86a9220, data=0x0)at xterm.c:5754
Recent changes in CVS trigger this abort. Kim F. Storm is working on a solution, he has checked in a temporary fix in CVS. Thanks, Jan D.
