M-DEL normally runs the command backward-kill-word.
In the message buffer I get: "x-create-frame-with-faces:
Text is read-only" but Emacs doesn't hang.
That is really strange, since x-create-frame-with-faces shouldn't
be associated with modifying a buffer. Can you debug the details
of how that error occurs? For instance, what buffer is it trying
to modify, and why?
