Then I try to user X clipboard (select and middlebutton) that usually
works with x2x and emacs freezes.
It may be easier to debug this case than the other, because you can
investigate what Emacs is doing--what it is waiting for, or why it is
looping. So if the same bug causes both cases, you'll find it more
easliy this way.
