ido shows wrong completions

I have a ~/local/ and a ~/local-mirror/ directory in my $HOME.

With ido enabled, when I do C-x C-f ~/local/ TAB TAB, the list of
completion is the list of files in my $HOME, with the 7th character
highlighted, whereas it should list $HOME/local/.
