Unfortunately, metacity is the default WM for gnome which is quite
popular and thus many users will encounter this problem.
Since Redhat is maintaining metacity (also written by Redhat), I have
filed a bug at:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=221475
