I could very briefly reproduce this [1], then it went away. It turns
out my build was incomplete, and I was running a bootstrap-emacs
rather than a finished emacs.

That's from a few months ago. Please report again (in more detail) if
the problem occurs with the current CVS.
[1] Well, I saw some kind of problem, but I have no idea what you were
seeing, since there are no _details_ or anything boring like that in
this bug report.
