error on undo

I've not found a way to reproduce this error, but it happens
repeatably in the session I currently have running.

I was working on a C++ source file for a few hours, then narrowed it
to a region and attempted to undo the last change.  The last change
was outside the narrowed region.  I would usually expect to see a
message telling me something to that effect, but instead I got an
error:
