I've brought this up before, with no response. As Gnash is based on an older project with years of development, 0.1 feels to low. 0.7 is also likely too high, and picked somewhat arbitrarily. 0.4 isn't too bad, but if it's too low, people will assume it's not as far along as it actually is.

In my head, a 1.0 release would be Gnash supporting all SWF v7 AS and opcodes. So probably someplace between 0.4 and 0.7 would work. GameSWF had no version numbers, so that isn't a guide either.

It's trivial to chance the version number, and I'm not hung up on using 0.7...
