It should.

It looks like qt3 is installed, but gnash is not compiling correctly
using it.

Better to do this:
./configure --enable-gui=gtk

(the default is --enable-gui=gtk,kde)

It does sound incorrect.  I hope that somebody who knows more about
YellowDog on the PS3 can help you.
