Guys, scan the mailing list archives.
Somebody else asked this question in the past and I gave
an high level overview. I also requested to take note
on the wiki about it, and stated I was available to go on.

Don't like duplication of efforts much :)

See doc/DESIGN for a start.
Consider starting up a wiki page about that if you
want to proceed (wiki.gnashdev.org).
