Not so this one, though:

There is, however, another problem: the fact that "writelauncher" does not 
exist on my system -- or, for that matter, anywhere in the Debian archive.

And I'm very interested in using this technique so I can get sound up and 
running on my AMD64 again one of these weeks rather soon now.
