Hi !
I'm a relatively new user of Ubuntu GNU/Linux.
Please, if you find this is not the right address to send this issue
OR is not a bug, tell me so (3 words of your time, will do).
While doing some administration, I typed:
$ sudo nautilus
I copied a GNAT GPS (Ada language programming suite) tar.gz to a
usr/bin new folder, extracted the files and while trying to set
permissions on them, a segmentation fault happened.
After removing all new files and folders and redoing everything,
nautilus kept crashing badly, every time.
Here the output:
> (nautilus:8932): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_strsplit: assertion `string != NULL'
> failed
> Fallo de segmentación (core dumped)
Distribution: Ubuntu 7.10 - Gutsy Gibbon
GNU/Linux ver:
Linux version 2.6.22-14-generic (address@hidden) (gcc version 4.1.3
20070929 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.2-16ubuntu2)) #1 SMP Tue Feb 12
07:42:25 UTC 2008
Nautilus ver: 2.20.0
Regards,
Yanis.
