Because FireFox is non free.

Why?

This has absolutely nothing to do with its trademark policies.
Trademarks, you live within them or do your own thing.

FireFox is non free as it:

points to non free extensions.

Therefore it is non free.

Therefore we had to do work on it.

Therefore we could not use the Mozilla name without approval.

Therefore the easiest thing was to rebranded it.
