Where posible i think a 3 sentence 'short' about an issue like that with
a link to the relevent gnu.org article should suffice. we want to get
duplication of work to as close to 0 as posible :)

One thing to think about looking into is how we can make use of upstream
(ubuntu) doco. i tried before, and building the docs package is a
nightmare of complexity (thats before we start trying to remove
"unsuitable" bits of docs).
