gnokii and a serial GSM modem

hi,

I have connected a GSM modem to a serial port and want to send out sms 
notifications from a network monitoring tool using gnokii.

however, i cant seem to get it to work.

The logs show that it was detected on /dev/ttyS0

   * Nov 23 18:32:46 tw1 kudzu: linked /dev/modem to /dev/ttyS0 *

Below is my gnokiirc file:

model = 3110
initlength = default
connection = serial
bindir = /usr/sbin
use_locking = yes
serial_baudrate = 19200
smsc_timeout = 10

TELEPHONE = 12345678
[disconnect_script]

[logging]

xdebug = off


My major problem here is might actually be the model = 3110 line. what 
model must i enter here for a GSM modem?

Here are the results of gnokii --identify:
