Is it Linux embedded solution? Or would it work on Windows Pocket PC or Palm OS?
The target here is a Linux platform, but I imagine it could be adapted to other platforms. The build dependencies are : libgnokii, gtk+, sqlite. The contacts used by default are GPE's contacts (an sqlite database).
Do you consider libgnokii being too large (so disabling certain drivers on compilation stage or doing them pluggable would make a difference)? Or being too slow? Or having to large memory footpring (due to static allocations)?
I haven't done any performance / memory footprint measurements at this time, so I can't give you an answer on this. All I can tell you is that I have not encountered any performance problems so far (and I use MKPhone daily).
And getting back to the topic. Assuming that the patch would be accepted could you prepare the patch? I think the original one was missing few parts.
What do you consider to be missing from the patch? I grepped for occurences of on_sms and made the changes wherever I found it. If you mean that the on_sms callback is not actually used in my patch, that is correct, I make use of it in the driver I am writing for EZX phones. This driver is not mature yet, but you can find my patches here:
