I think it's important for people
to know which hardware works
on entirely free software. And
if free distros include a package
for helping we can make it easier.
IMO we should be encouraging people to supply the FSF with these
details, so they can put them on the hardware compatibility pages they
host on fsf.org.

The software ismyhwok also sends
an email to the fsf so the hardware
is manually added, as there is no
automated way to contribute there.
