That still seems to mean your pdflatex does not work
correctly:

1) please send me a full log with debugging enabled

2) what does

        $> pdflatex -interaction nonstopmode 
/home/jbusser/.gnumed/tmp/gm-L-Template-YRORh6/gm-L-Template-YRORh6-instance.tex

in a console window say ? (you will probably have to adjust
the path).
