That's why I think writing readable, speaking (self-commented)
and commented code is paramount. The manual should actually
only discuss concepts.

Sure, but that needs to be clearly specified beforehand as it
will not interest quite some people. I'd suggest moving that
session towards the end/evening of the meeting.
