Decide what you want to look at first: demographics or
clinical data ?

In demographics start following the links from "identity".

In clinical start following the links from clin_root_item down
to the clinical data tables and up to
clin_encounter/clin_episode/clin_health_issue

There aren't really any besides some discussion in the Wiki
which is still down. The rationale for the various tables is
mostly found in the comments. For the EHR side of things you
need an understanding of Weed/Lambertz et al and the recent
Dutch/Belgian papers (Verbeke et al).
