Oh, it's just a switch of buttons inside a plugin. No worry,
that plugin isn't going away anytime soon.

Now I'm a bit confused. Which do you prefer ?

        date: type

or

        date: AOE

?

Jim prefers

        date: type

and not using AOE/RFE

There is, however, another possibility:

        date: soAp

It would then beg the question:

        soAp
                AOE
                        RFE
                                type

or

        soAp
                type

or

        soAp
                RFE
                        AOE
                                type

or whichever variation thereof.
