Ok so I will soon have a Dual or Triple Boot system to work with my new Laptop needs, what I want to know is if it is possible to make the Debian/Ubuntu (still going to decide witch) the Mandriva and the Windows system all look for the GNUmed DB at the same partition ...

Is this remotely possible?

Use case:

I am at my office running Debian/Ubuntu and then have to go to a patient´s house for a home consult, there the patient asks me about a medicine he is planing on taking and looks for my advice, since my wireless is not there yet in the Debian/Ubuntu and works 100% on M$-Win , I boot up Win7 and look at the medicine information available online.

It would be great to be able to fire up GNUmed in the DB I am working at the office without a dump-restore process at every boot.

*** I understand I can make a script (maybe even a hook in GNUmed?) that every time I close GNUmed it will backup the DB to a FAT32 partion and that can be seen by all my OS´s, the question is if this is the ONLY solution.

I could set up a server for GNUmed on a box and leave it on the hole time, but that would´t be so good for me because it involves more money :)
