The problem is on the 1st line: "<?" is probably parsed as a php tag....<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
Can you please switch off "short tags" from php options on gnustep.org? Otherwise, it will try to interpret all processing instructions. I don't know of later php versions fix this and can ignore <?xml and other PIs even when reading <? some_php_function() ?>.
