For me the problem is exactly the same as for you.  I suggest that you
inform Niels Möller <address@hidden> about the problem, since up to
now I have only reported about the diff problem on the shell, which Niels
was not able to reproduce.  Maybe it is possible to reproduce the problem
with emacs, as you have described them.
