This is all pretty impressive!  I only quickly browsed the nice and
detailed Guile-PAM manual, and I guess it would make sense to consider
using it in Guix—Guile all the things, that’s very much the spirit.  :-)

Can you tell whether it entails tradeoffs in terms of functionality,
compatibility, or other risks?
