AFAIK, CalendarVob implies a lot of text: all the day numbers. So, the 
overall problem is text?

Is the CalendarVob currently a single Vob? If it is, could it be splitted 
into months (into 12 distinct vobs). Then probably some of them could be 
culled of most of the time.
