- people may use them yet - IMHO, there no value in removing EOL
distros and no harm retaining them - i would like to see more or
all (not fewer) distros accepted, or to consider no specific
distros at all

What was removed was the mentions of the distros on the webpages, see the actual patch. Nothing was removed from the database.
