You probably know that 42.1 is out of maintenance since years.
Except for the learning experience there is no need to upgrade, unless it is a productive system

Did You run openSUSE-gnuhealth-setup after the technical installation? GH needs some settings, and this script makes life easier.
Please follow the hints in the openSUSE wiki and let me know if it helped
