[help-GIFT] grey thumbnails

Hello!

Gift (0.1.11) an Charmer (0.2b) are running; I can select collections and 
execute queries on them - but all the displayed thumbnails remain grey (see 
attached screenshot).
The collection and the thumbnail-directory are in my public_html/ folder.
What am I doing wrong?
