In the info pages (C-h I) on the main menu in the Important Text -Changing
Commands section you will find the Rectangles entry and in the Advanced
Features section you will find the Picture entry. Read the information in
both of these entries. I suspect that the information that you are seeking
will be there.
Make the info pages your friend. They contain a lot of information. And it
won't take a week to get the answer.
