I find this hard to believe. Hm. Maybe uniquify doesn't work on NT?
That's the only thing I can think of.
On my Linux system, I did the following test:
emacs-20.6 -q -no-site-file
M-x customize-group RET uniquify RET
I got a Customization buffer for this group. If this does not work
for you, then either uniquify doesn't work on NT, or your installation
is b0rken.
