Shouldn't it be "Linux+GNU" then as Linux is
the kernel and GNU a large part of the rest of
the software, that is closer to the user?
OTOH many people are using Emacs, gcc etc to
develop/modify Linux so I suppose it is
a chicken or egg discussion.
