Hello all,
I need to evaluate Kummer's confluent hypergeometric function for a purely
imaginary argument:
1F1(a, b; ix)
where i is the imaginary unit, a, b, x are real, and a, b > 0. From what I
gather GSL only allows computing
1F1(a,b; x)
with real arguments. However there is a version of 2F1 that admits complex
arguments. Is there a reason for this omission? Any suggestions on how I can
compute 1F1(a, b; ix)?
Thanks in advance. Best,
cossio
