Depending on what distro you are, you need to install libncurses5w-dev
(Debian/Ubuntu/...) or ncurses-devel (Fedora/...) or .... It will be
clear: you need a package with "ncurses" it its name, and also "lib"
and "dev". That package contains the headers (".h" files) that nano
needs in order to know how to interact with ncurses.
