[Help-smalltalk] Problem with 2.0.1 compile |

Hi, all:
I currently have version 1.95.7 residing on my system, installed to /usr/local.
If I remember correctly, the install process for this was completely painless.
Earlier today, I downloaded the 2.0.1 release. I have untarred the contents
under my home directory. ./configure ran fine, but during the compile process,
I receive the following error:
libgst/.libs/libgst.a(mpz.o): In function `_gst_mpz_tdiv_qr':
mpz.o(.text+0x985): undefined reference to `mpn_tdiv_qr'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [gst] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/dean/smalltalk-2.0.1'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/dean/smalltalk-2.0.1'
make: *** [all] Error 2
For the technically minded, I am running Peanut Linux, version 9.2. I am
running a later model 2.4 kernel (compiled around Christmas, 2001) with GNU
make and gcc 2.95. I am unsure of how to resolve this. Do I need to uninstall
the older 1.95.7 build before this one will compile? Am I missing something
else? If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be much
appreciated.
Many thanks in advance!
