Did you read the Texinfo manual about cross-references?  If not,
please do, because your syntax is dead wrong.  It's a small wonder you
get errors from TeX.

Here's the correct syntax:

  @node My Node

  This is a cross-reference to the above node: @xref{My Node}.

Again, please read the docs.
