I think it's because you have a space in the middle of the row of -'s. 
Maybe it was split by word wrap in an editor or similar.

Try

@noindent @center 
{------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------}

(hoping the line above won't get broken in two when I send this email.)

This doesn't produce the warning about Underful \hbox when I tested it.
