Importing a directory tree with empty subdirectories

Hi all,

A  query,

Can I import  a directory  tree with empty subdirectores  into
a cvs repository.

I tried importoing thro'  wincvs client,  the tree did not get imported.

Only when i inserted dummy files in the subdirectories the entire tree
got imported.

( After initial import , when i try to add  empty subdirectories , they
get added )

Could anyone please advise on how to import a tree without files in it.
