How to maintain programs belong to different OS platform?

Hi,
I used to maintain one of my programs of MS windows on cvs via wincvs.
Now I want  this program to migrate to a linux version and I wish these two
versions of programs can be maintained at the same progress.  For example,
any further functionality was added to one version, it should be added to
the other one too; and any bug was found and fixed in one version, as it
would be very likely happened in the other one, it should also be fixed at
the other version.
Any suggestion?
