I have to admit that the recursive add to a branch is a fairly
persuasive argument as far as I'm concerned, but even if you can get
Mark or Larry to agree, I won't have time to review any large patches
for some time.  If the change turns out to be small, it might slip
past my guard.  It would, of course, need test cases and documentation
in doc/cvs.texinfo.  See the HACKING file for more on submitting
patches to CVS.
