Question: "cvs editors" |

Hello Everyone,
I am relatively new to CVS and need your advice. We have CVS version
1.11.1.3 on AIX 5.2.
Here is my situation..... Each time after we check out a program using CVS,
we first issue the 'cvs editors' command to make sure that no one else has
already checked-out that same program and that they are not in the 'edit'
mode. If not, we then issue the 'cvs watch on' and 'cvs edit' commands
before starting to modify it.
The 'cvs editors' command for the most part, works fine. However, for
certain programs, it lists out information of people who are currently
'edit'ing the programs (which is what I want & expect) & also for people who
are *not* currently 'edit'ing them (i.e. people who have already 'committed'
and 'released' the programs/directories in the past).
What am I missing? Is there a command/option/flag that I need to use or is
it something else? Has anyone else experienced similar issues?
Thanks for any help,
Suhas
