Need Help with .htm file in CVS.

Hi,
        We are facing an issue with CVS.
We checked-in a .htm file into CVS (through a Mac machine), keeping the
Type and Creator fields as "HTML" and "" (Blank). But upon checking-out
the same file the Type and Creator value changes to "Text" and "MSIE"
respectively (on the Mac Machine). As a result the htm file doesn't
launch, on a machine where the default browser is not Internet Explorer.

Is there any way, to resolve the issue with the Creator Field?

Can anybody help? Thanks in advance.
