restricting reading modules in CVS

Hello,
I Have a repository with five modules CVS.
Inside this repository, I have other directory  (CVSROOT), with a file 
passwd to keep the accounts of the users that will have read access , and in 
checkright.sh, I have a script for permit or not the commit in you said 
modules.  Nevertheless, i would like to restrict the read access to some of 
the members that are in repository/CVSROOT/passwd, so that a user "testers" 
alone can login only  as read access to one of these modules.
What can I do?
