I have converted my e-mail to use nnimap both locally in my HAN (home
area network). For my laptop, it makes sense to have the connection
status switch to denied when the connection is closed. But for when I
am local, I would like to have it reopened when I try to access a
folder. I find it very inconvenient to be editing a long reply, get
distracted by something else, come back to finish and find I can't
send because the connection closed. Yes, I know how to switch buffers
to get to the server buffer and reopen the connection so I can finish
sending.

I think 5.9 reopened the connection for me; at least I never had this
problem. 5.10 doesn't, and I can't find the magic settings to tell
Gnus to reopen the connection; is there one?

regards,

roland
