What other forums might be tried?... Nothing turned up yet for locating free news servers from fencepost.gnu.org after trying to wade through listings at http://freenews.maxbaud.net/ http://www.newsservers.net/index.php http://www.google.com/search?q=free+news+servers No reply to the mark yet at http://groups.google.com/group/alt.free.newsservers/ http://groups.google.com/group/gnu.emacs.gnus _ _ _ _ _ comment _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ | I read the documentation which led me to try | news.online.no | and searched on Google for `free netnews server' | which led me to | http://www.newsservers.net/index.php | which led me to | biggulp.readfreenews.net | I tried the first on both fencepost.gnu.org and my | home machine and the second on just my home machine. | Both failed.
