Hi,

 

On Suse you can add new line to /etc/sysconfig/syslog file

 

SYSLOGD_ADDITIONAL_SOCKET_JAIL="/home/chrootusers/dev/log"

 

This is what I did, so syslog started ok, but so far can't find any events relevant to SFTP...

I tried to understand this line, to figure out during 1 hour after googling, but

unfortunately I have no idea where to add that.

why not use syslog with an extra socket if that is all you want?

simply add '-a /srv/jail/dev/log' to the start options of syslog and restart it.
