We have https://libreplanet.org/wiki/Event:LibrePlanet and would be
happy to improve it / use different tools. Doesn't help with event RSVP
/ registration /etc, but as a way to promote and publicize events, we'd
like to do more.
I think GNU social also has some event functionality.
